These Cheeseburger Wraps are stuffed with juicy ground beef, crispy bacon, double cheese and all your favourite classic burger salad!
Beef Burger Mince
The star of the show in these wraps is the beef. It’s far too often I see similar recipes to this just browning the beef and be done with it 😩 Dry/bland beef is NOT what we want! (sorry, full beef snobbery right here 🤣).
So, in order to get the most out of the beef I firstly recommend getting some good quality beef that’s around 10-12% fat. I find that hits the sweet spot, adding a bit of fatty flavour/texture, but not so much the meat turns out greasy.
For juicy beef I like to pour in beef stock & cornflour/cornstarch whilst the beef is frying. Once you reduce it down, this will coat the beef in a nice ‘gloss’ which ensures it doesn’t dry out.
The beef stock will inject flavour, but alongside this I add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and s&p. Nothing too extravagant, but helps the beef hold it’s own in the wraps.
Making Cheeseburger Wraps
Right, beef done, let’s talk wraps. You’ll need 4 large flour tortilla wraps and some classic burger fillings. Here’s what I use/recommend:
Cheeseburger Wrap Ingredients
- Bacon – Where there’s burger, there’s always bacon. I recommend streaky bacon and cooked to preference.
- Cheese – I use American/Burger Cheese. Obviously not the best quality cheese you could use but a fairly classic choice!
- Burger Sauce – Classic burger sauce is always my go-to.
- Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle & Onion – All finely diced/shredded for ease of roll.
When it comes to rolling the wraps, I prefer to roll them as if they were burritos. Reason being is if you roll it like a normal wrap the beef goes all over the place. Burrito style keeps everything intact.
How to make Cheeseburger Wraps (quick summary)
- Add salad and sauce to the middle-centre of a large wrap.
- Add bacon.
- Top with beef.
- Lay over cheese.
- Fold bottom over ingredients.
- Fold in sides.
- Tightly scrunch and roll.
- Place seam-side-down.
From there you can eat right away as a wrap, or, cook like a burrito. I usually place them on a griddle pan on high heat and rotate slowly until nicely charred.
Baked Cheeseburger Burritos
You could also bake them. Just wrap in foil and bake in the oven at 180C/356F until crispy and cooked through (15-20mins).
Can I make these ahead of time?
You sure can! In all cases just make sure you cool the meat before you make the wraps (or they’ll steam and go soggy in the fridge). If you want to eat them just as wraps just wrap and store in the fridge until ready to eat. If you want to cook them as burritos either grill at a slightly lower heat or add 10mins on to baking time.
What to serve with cheeseburger wraps?
These are pretty filling though so don’t feel like you need a side. You can also ditch the wraps and serve this as a cheeseburger salad too!

How to make Cheeseburger Wraps (Full Recipe & Video)
Burrito Style Cheeseburger Wraps
- Large Frying Pan & Wooden Spoon
- Sharp Knife & Chopping Board
- Jug (for stock)
- Griddle Pan (optional)
Ingredients (check list):
- 1lb / 500g Ground Beef (10-12% fat)
- 1/2 cup / 125ml Beef Stock
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Cornstarch/Cornflour
- 1/2 tsp each: Garlic Powder, Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- Olive Oil, as needed
- 4 large Flour Tortillas, warmed
- 8 single rashers of Bacon, cooked to preference
- 8 slices of American/Burger Cheese
- 1/4 Lettuce, shredded
- 1 medium Tomato, diced
- 1/2 medium White Onion, finely diced/minced
- 4 tbsp Diced Pickles
- 4 tbsp Burger Sauce
- In a large pan over medium heat add beef to a drizzle of olive oil or some leftover bacon fat. Break up with a wooden spoon and fry until it's almost brown all the way through. Drain excess fat if needed, then add 1/2 tsp salt and garlic powder and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Continue to brown, then pour in 1/2cup/125ml beef stock with 1 tsp cornstarch/cornflour mixed in and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. Continue frying until the liquid thickens/soaks up and the beef is juicy (but not saucy).
- Lay a tortilla wrap on a flat surface and place lettuce in the bottom centre. Top with pickles, onion and tomato, then a drizzle of burger sauce. Top with 2 rashers of bacon, followed by beef and finish with 2 slices of cheese.
- Take the bottom of the wrap and tightly fold it over the fillings. Take the two sides and tightly fold in, then scrunch and fold to complete the roll.
- Optional: Place a griddle pan over high heat and gently rotate the wraps until charred and crispy. If you're doing this I recommend adding a tiny bit of cheese to 'glue' the seam shut so it doesn't open. If you grill seam-side-down first the cheese will melt and keep the wrap shut.
