Make your comfort food dreams come true with ‘Comfy’
I’ve poured everything I’ve got into this book and I’m genuinely SO excited to share it with you! It’s built on the back of years of blogging, recipe developing & home cooking and I can safely say it’s my best work to date!!
Comfy is packed with feel-good flavour-loaded dinners that you’ll want to make over and over again. It’s full of the comfiest, most delicious dinners I’ve ever created. Think the ultimate Fish & Chips, Creamy Peppercorn Steak Pasta and Loaded Baked Potato Soup!
Let me answer some questions!
I’ll try and preempt some questions, but if you have any more let me know in the comments below!
Is the book available outside of the UK?
YES! Please keep in mind the book is written in Metric and will contain some UK phrases/words (minced beef instead of ground beef, coriander instead of cilantro etc). If you have scales and measuring cups with ml the measurements should easily be converted.
USA Amazon – Order here
Canada Amazon – Order here
Australia Amazon – Order here
Australia other options – Order here
New Zealand options – Order here
Where can I order the book in the UK?
Alongside Amazon, you can order on Waterstones and WHSmith.
How many of the recipes are new?
The majority are completely brand new and written for the cookbook! In fact around 80% of them are completely new, with some of my most popular blog recipes that I had to include.
What kind of recipes are in the book?
Dinners!! All approachable, super-delicious, fail-proof, comfy and full of flavour.
Here’s a few sneak peek recipes:
- Burrata Caprese Pasta
- Cottage Pie Baked Potatoes
- Easy Bloomer Bread Pizza
- Brown Butter Gnocchi with Sage and Butternut Squash
- Soul Soothing Chicken Orzo Soup
- Roasted Sweet Potato Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing
- Harissa Halloumi Skewers
- Katsu Curry
Are these year-round recipes or just for ‘comfy’ season?
These are 100% recipes you can make all year-round. There’s of course lots of recipes that are perfect to tuck into on a cold Winter’s evening (soups, pies, hearty pastas and warming casseroles). But there’s heaps of Spring/Summery recipes too (think burgers, mega salads, tacos, quick dinners, minimal prep dinners, slow-cooker/no-oven dinners).
Are the recipes easy to make?
The skill level is no different for the recipes I post on here and across social media. As with my blog, I made sure that every single recipe (bar 1 or 2) has a notes section and every recipe is as detailed as possible. My publishers were pulling their hair out squeezing in each recipe, but you know how thorough I like to be . Even the bigger recipes are placed across a double page to ensure there’s no missing crucial info. So, in short, I’ve made the recipes as fail-proof as possible!
Do let me know if you have any other questions in the comments!
Also, if you missed any announcements I made across social media I’ll pop the videos below.

As I said, if you’ve got any more questions please do let me know in the comments. But for now, I just want to say the biggest thank you. For the comments, the reviews, the likes – everything. I’m so confident that you’ll love this book and I seriously can’t wait for it to make its way to your kitchen. I know it’ll bring you as much joy as it continues to bring me.

November 13, 2024 at 9:47 pmI’m not sure what is needed to use a non-US cookbook. Anything beyond a scale and measuring cups that have mls?
Chris Collins
November 14, 2024 at 12:49 pmHey Marge! If you’re happy to convert from Metric to Imperial you’ll be good to go – scales and measuring cups with mls should do the trick. There are some UK terms (minced beef instead of ground beef, coriander instead of cilantro) but these should hopefully be few and far between. C.

November 12, 2024 at 8:36 pmAny hints as to when a US version will be available?
Chris Collins
November 13, 2024 at 12:29 pmHi Brooke! The book is available but unfortunately not as a US version. It was something I was hoping for but the publishers have chosen to stick with a metric version. C.

March 27, 2024 at 7:26 amHi Chris, first of all your book is amazing and enjoying working my way through it front to back! I know that it can vary depending on the specific ingredients used, but do you have anywhere that lists the rough calories per meal? I’ve just started tracking and thought I’d ask before I go work it out for every recipe – sorry if it’s somewhere and I haven’t noticed!
Chris Collins
March 27, 2024 at 7:07 pmHey Ryan! Great to hear you’re enjoying the book. We actually decided not to put calories in the book! Having said that, ~20% of the recipes are popular recipes from the blog, which are all calorie counted. Most of the blog recipes are at the beginning of each chapter. Cheers! C.

January 11, 2024 at 6:42 amI see that I can order your book from Amazon US, have the units of measurement been converted?
Hope so.
Thank you
Chris Collins
January 11, 2024 at 12:36 pmHey Robbie! I haven’t had confirmation from my publisher that it’s out in the US yet, so it’ll likely be being sold through a 3rd party. As such, it will be UK measurements. Will keep you updated if I manage to get a US version out or not C.

October 26, 2023 at 7:24 pmI have bought and received this recipe book and was slightly disappointed when I searched for the TikTok recipe for Fish Pie Jackets which was not in the book I have made the sausage mash pie which was delicious but the jacket fish pie sold it to me so that was a big shame. If you could send that recipe it would be a consolation.
Chris Collins
October 26, 2023 at 8:01 pmHey Martin! Sorry to hear you were disappointed to not see the fish pie baked potatoes. Thankfully the recipe is also on the blog (you can use the search bar on the right hand side, also on the homepage) and the recipe is in the caption in the TikTok you saw. Hope you love the book either way 🙂 C.

July 16, 2023 at 4:05 pmMy 17 yr old daughter has taken an interest in cooking because of your recipes. We’re in the lovely state of Washington, sadly a little too close to the insanity of “Seattle”, but I grew up in Henley on Thames… my recollection of food from my childhood has me skeptical of English recipes online, but yours are FANTASTIC! We’re having the Harrisa Pasta this week. Although we have several fav’s, I think the top one is Honey Butter Chicken. I’m going next to look on Amazon to pre-order your cookbook, hoping it’s here in time for Christmas. It’s going to make a fabulous surprise! Thanks for all the hard work!!!
Chris Collins
July 16, 2023 at 4:53 pmThank you so much for the kind words, Nancy! So happy to hear the recipes are going down well! I’ve got my fingers crossed for a US version so hopefully will be on the US Amazon soon 🙂 C.

I have learned so much from you about why you do certain tings and my husband loves everything I have cooked from your recipes. I have my favorites like the butter honey pork loin, but so far I have not found anything I don’t like. Thank you so much for your willingness to share and make me a better cook.

April 27, 2023 at 4:32 pmWow, congratulations. It’s something I have been hoping for for months now, already pre-ordered on Amazon. I love to “prop-up” a cook book whilst cooking. (I’m old enough to remember when that was the only option!) Hope it’s a best seller and the first of many for you, “but don’t stop the blog.”
Best wishes
Bea, Suffolk UK.
