Short on time? These dinners are ready from start to finish in 15 minutes, with no compromise on flavour!

When I’ve genuinely got no time to cook, these are the dinners I like to have up my sleeve. My emergency meals if you will. Here’s why you’re going to love them:
- Genuinely 15 minutes – that means prep and cooking, not 15 minutes once everything’s already chopped and ready to go.
- Variety of dinners – from pasta and noodles to burgers, salmon, steak and pork chops.
- Simple ingredients – nothing fancy or difficult to find, just straightforward recipes you can get on the table fast.
Because being short on time shouldn’t mean settling for a disappointing dinner.
1. Mushroom Tagliatelle

Creamy mushroom pasta in 15 minutes is always going to be a win in my books. The best part is you only need a handful of simple ingredients.
2. Steak and Cowboy Butter

Steak is always a good idea for a speedy dinner. Pair it with a no-cook sauce like this cowboy butter and you’re onto an absolute winner!
3. Four Cheese Pasta

Four cheeses and 15 minutes – this is exactly the kind of maths I can get behind. The sauce is beautifully silky too, with no roux or thickener needed.
4. Double Smash Burgers

Smash burgers are perfect when you want proper comfort food without waiting around. Thin patties mean more crispy edges, more flavour and, importantly here, a much quicker cook.
5. Hot Honey Butter Salmon

Sweet, spicy, sticky and buttery, but still on the table in 15 minutes. This is the kind of dinner that proves quick definitely does not mean boring.
6. Spicy Pork Noodles

These are dangerously quick for how much flavour they pack in. Thick udon, spicy pork and a glossy stir-fry sauce, all done before you’ve had time to talk yourself into a takeaway.
7. Brown Butter Ravioli

Ravioli already gives you a head start, so all you need is a really good sauce. Brown butter turns this into something that feels far fancier than a 15-minute dinner.
8. Pork Chops with Applesauce & Blue Cheese

If pork, apple and blue cheese sounds a little unusual, trust me on this one. It works ridiculously well, and the whole thing is ready in a pinch.
9. Boursin Pasta

Boursin does most of the work for you here, melting down into a rich, garlicky sauce with hardly any effort.
10. Pan Fried Cod

This is about as quick as a proper fish dinner gets. The cod is pan-fried until golden, then finished with brown butter, dill and plenty of lemon.
11. Roasted Red Pepper Pesto Pasta

Jarred roasted peppers are the shortcut that makes this one possible. Blitz them into pesto and you’ve got a seriously flavour-packed pasta with very little effort involved.
12. Sausage Smash Burgers

Using sausage meat means the patties remain juicy and flavoursome, whilst developing a gorgeous crust. A very good way to shake up burger night.
13. Easy Lemon Pasta

I know, a pasta with no cream. Who am I?! Butter, parmesan and lemon turn into a gorgeous silky sauce in minutes in this dish.
14. Honey Sriracha Salmon

When you’ve got 15 minutes and a couple of salmon fillets, this is a very good direction to go in. The 4-ingredient glaze is sweet, spicy, sticky and ridiculously simple.
15. Cream Cheese Pasta

A five ingredient sauce and 15 minutes total is hard to argue with. The trick is turning the cream cheese into a properly silky sauce, rather than just stirring it through hot pasta and hoping for the best.
