Leftover Turkey Grilled Cheese Sandwich
This Grilled Cheese Sandwich is the perfect way to use up Leftover Turkey. Packed with Bacon, Avocado and Ranch, turkey melts never tasted so good! (Makes 2)
Cost: £3 / $4
- 4 slices Large Thick White Bread
- 1 cup Leftover Turkey, or as needed
- 6 slices Cheese (see notes)
- 6 single rashers Streaky Bacon, cooked to preference
- 4 tbsp Ranch
- 1 small Avocado, sliced
- Butter, as needed
Place two slices of bread on the pan with the heat OFF. Spread with butter and flip.
Spread with ranch (don't go overboard or it'll soak into the bread), then place cheese, followed by turkey, avocado, bacon, more cheese and finish with another slice of bread.
Spread with ranch, flip, then spread with butter.
Turn on heat to a medium and fry each side until golden brown, ensuring you flip carefully so the filling doesn't spill out. Enjoy!
a) Leftover Turkey - I recommend using breast if you can. Here I slice, but you can also shred with two forks.
b) Turkey Sub - This grilled cheese work perfectly with chicken too! You can also use deli style chicken/turkey.
c) Cheese - I usually go for cheddar, but Swiss cheese also works great. If you want that classic cheese pull go half mozzarella with whatever cheese you choose. I place 1.5 slices per side, but you could also grate the cheese too. Approx 1.5 cups cheese would work, but work to preference.
d) Additions - Red onion and sliced tomato also work great in this grilled cheese!
e) Calories - per sandwich, using all cheddar and 4 tsp butter.
